Sensorineural hearing loss
In this blog i will investigate and explain the problem of sensorineural hearing loss and its cure, which is the cochlea implant. I will also talk about the benefits of a cochlea implant for the people and the society.

What is it?
There are many types of hearing problems but this one is the most common. There are 2 parts in the ear, the outer and the inner. Sensorineural hearing loss is the inner damage of the ear or the damage of the cochlea and if the cochlea is damage you may not ever hear sounds again, thats is a really horrible thing to happen to you. Some people got into serious situation which can affect the inner ear. When you damage your cochlea, you cannot replace it with another one.
This is the structure of an ear. The inner and the outer. The spiral shape organism is a cochlea. If cochlea is damaged is cannot be replace because then you will have to cut you head open, and unlike some organism it could not be replaced.
This is a picture of a damaged cochlea. There are a lot of causes to this. Once its damaged you cannot replace but to get a cochlea implant.

Sensorineural is a very common issue and there are so many causes for it such as, too much noise. Too much noise can make you deaf a bit but if you hear loud noise regularly your inner ears could be damage or ripped. Sometimes some people are just born with it where their cochlea does not work and it could not send the electrical energy to the brain. Some accidents like car crash, physical fights, plane crash can cause ear damage, if you fight with someone and they punch your ear, you can damage your ear and can even shatter the ear bones. Drugs are also one of the main reasons people get sensorineural hearing loss because some drugs affect the ears just like allergies. Some people are born with the problem because the genes are passed to the next generation. Sometimes you get it when you are old aged already because your ear bones get stiff and does not move anymore, which will not trigger the cochlea. Solution, to be able to hear again from a sensorineural hearing loss, you need to get a cochlear/cochlea implant.

A cochlea implant is an electrical device that can help your hearing problem. It is implant from your head to the cochlea. This is what a cochlea implant looks like.
There is a lot of different variety cochlea; there are
really big ones for adults and really small ones of for children. There are
many types of cochlea implants but this is the most common one.
This is a picture of boy with a cochlea implant, but there are 2 parts of a cochlea implant the outer implant and the inner.
This is what a cochlea implant looks like. Each of the parts or machine has different rolls to make people hear again.
A cochlea implant is not only for humans but also for animals just like this cat because some people really care about the animals life. Some animals depend on their ear more than anything else especially animals that have a really complex ear that is better than a humans. Their ears can affect the animal's survival
How does a cochlea implant work?
The way a cochlea implant works is very simple. Each part of the machine works as different parts and they all must be functional to make you hear again.
First the red arrow points at the beginning of the cochlea
implant, that is the 2 little microphones that picks up sound and noise.
Basically that whole part is for picking up any sound and it turns those sounds
into signals.
Second, after the microphones pick up the sounds and turn it
into signals, it is transmitted to the outer implant on the top of the head,
which is the transmitter.
Then the transmitter sends it into the inner implant and the
inner implant converts is into an electrical energy into the cochlea so that it
stimulates the nerve hair, which is sent to the brain.
A cochlea implant may be very useful but there are still some limitation and some risk. Before you can get a cochlea implant they need to put you in deep sleep and have to inject drugs. Some drugs are very dangerous and different people react differently to the drugs for some people it is ok but for some people the drugs is very unhealthy. Getting a cochlea implant is expensive, it usually cost $100,000 but it is worth it but sometimes you wont get a 100% chance of recovery. Getting a cochlea implant is worth because there are a lot of benefits. The most obvious benefits is that it helps you hear again. It increases the level of hearing for you. People who get a cochlea implant can hear twice as much and better as a normal person can hear, which means you can hear a lot more things because you have more complex ear. You also be able to entertain yourself again and also improve your social skills. You can talk with a proper tone because most deaf people cannot have a smooth tone while speaking. Although there are a lot of advantages there are also some disadvantages such as sometimes you might not get a full recovery, you can get diseases through the surgery, also the cost prize is too expensive and yet sometimes the cochlea implant does not work. A cochlea implant machine could also be sensitive and you could hear every single noise that can be very annoying. A cochlea implant affect people life's and the society because every since the machine was invented people would not have to struggle with the hearing loss anymore. It changed people life's because people have found an easier way to cure it. People would not have to struggle trying to figure out what other people are saying, people will be able to entertain themselves again. A cochlea is also an economic benefit because it helps the patient who are struggling, it will help with the health issues and also to make money. The society would not struggle to keep the citizens in good condition.
In conclusion, a cochlea implant help people and also the society. Sensorineural hearing loss is a very common issue but people have found a way to cure it, by getting a cochlea implant, a well made machine that will help people hear again. Although it is expensive it is still worth it to get one.
I think that people should get a cochlea implant is very useful for people who have sensorineural hearing loss and to make the prize cheaper so that not only rich people can afford but also the unfortunate.
